Your authentic Tanzania luxury safari awaits with a warm greeting upon landing at Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR) in Dar es Salaam. An easy transfer ushers you to a private lounge with beverages before boarding a 1.5-hour charter flight to Ruaha National Park. This is Tanzania’s largest national park sitting at 20,226 km². After arriving, activities are centered around a game drive in the unfenced wilderness during the afternoon. It's landscape of rocky escarpments, open plains, and the Great Ruaha River hosts over ten thousand elephants along with large prides of lions, elusive leopards in the miombo woodlands, herding buffalo, and endangered wild dogs—if luck favors us. Birdlife is also abundant with the Ruaha red-billed hornbill. Expert guides can navigate through hidden trails and stop for a sundowner while soaking in panoramic views of the baobab specked savanna.
