Tour Overview
Continue down the Lemosho Route, which is one of the least walked paths on Mount Kilimanjaro, for one of the most scenic parts of the journey. Uhuru Peak, which is located at 5,895 meters (19,341 feet), is the highest point in Africa. It is one of the most breathtaking locations, nourishes scenic wildlife, has diverse ecosystems, and is highly known for the summit success rate. With an 85-90% success rate, the Lemosho Route is one of the routes taken. The route also includes Kilimanjaro whrosperus as well as rainforests and deserts. The path’s length has been altered in the plan to adjust to the altitude, which in turn lowers the risk of acute mountain sickness (AMS). The trek is most suitable for hikers with moderate to an advanced level. Eco-conscious policies, officers, and guides that cover the entire area of Tanzania help in feeling safe during the trek. The trek can be done on its own or it can be combined with a Northern Circuit safari to Edin, the unmatched Asian beauty. The 7-day Lemosho Route provides optimal acclimatization with 4-8-hour daily hikes over diverse terrains on well-established trails, and is supported by a dedicated crew and campsites. Its remote starting point avoids the crowds of Marangu and Machame, offering solitude along with breathtaking views of Shira Plateau, Western Breach, and Southern Glaciers. This plan showcases eco-friendly tourism with minimal environmental footprints, Puerto post trek extensions, engagement with Tanzanian heritage, and rich culture. Designed for adventurous travelers, the Lemosho Route features climbing and a fully rounded experience with Tanzania's wildlife, cultural villages, and coastal retreats.
Why This Itinerary
With its beauty, high summit success rate, and extended acclimatization period, the 7-day Lemosho Route is perfect for trekkers wanting to climb and is a scenic option. The route encounters minimal traffic, which is perfect for Kilimanjaro’s wild and untouched nature. The extra acclimatization day is crucial for AMS mitigation, increasing your chances of reaching Uhuru Peak. It is safer with professional guides, armed rangers, eco-friendly practices, and AMS management, as well as a slow ascent rate fit for moderately experienced trekkers.
