Itinerary
Your honeymoon starts with an enchanting greeting at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), which is situated about fifty kilometers away from Arusha in Tanzania. You will be taken on a private transfer to a quaint mid-range lodge positioned in picturesque gardens. Here, you can rest, as well as have access to a room equipped with modern en suite amenities. In the afternoon, spend some time relaxing together in the form of a couples massage or a scenic walk to witness the local birdlife, such as the silvery-cheeked hornbill. Upon finishing a mouth-watering breakfast, we set off for Tarangire National Park. It took a 2-hour, 4x4 ride covering a distance of 130 km. The Park is widely known for its ancient baobab trees, massive elephant herds, and having a total area of 2,850 km². During our visit, we drove all day along the Tarangire River. While we passed the river, we were lucky enough to spot hundreds of elephants bathing and drinking water. Other animals like zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, and even lions and leopards were a common sight. We witnessed acacia leaves being stretched by giraffes, zebras and wildebeests grazing side by side, as well as various beautiful birds such as the lilac-breasted roller. Our tour guide was extremely informative. He would stop every now and then at different scenic spots to help us learn more about the park's ecosystem, all the while serving us delicious picnic lunch beneath the breathtaking Baobab with panoramic savanna views. Upon arrival, we checked into a luxurious tented camp with a private veranda and en-suite tents. To end an exciting day, we were served backlit dinner and got to relish the serenity of the African wilderness. Nothing could top this amazing experience.

Start your day with a warm breakfast served at the tented camp before enjoying a scenic drive for about 150km over three hours to reach the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Here, tourists can relish in a variety of activities ranging from a game drive with the chance to spot leopards, along with 30 rhinos, several clusters of lions, and numerous elephants. Tourists will be given the opportunity to devour grand view lunches at the crest near a hippo pool before moving up to one's lodge built on the Calder rim overlooking a picturesque caldera. There, fireside dinners can be enjoyed with an intimate highland breeze enticing the area.

Before heading there, you get the luxury of breakfast over a breathtaking sunrise, start your day with breakfast at the crater-rim lodge and then at around 8:30 a.m., set off on a infrastructure enabled drive of about 3 hours, which takes around 145 kilometers. The splendid UNESCO heritage site is famous for its extravagant plains and the great migration of wildlife. For the entire afternoon, you will engage in exciting activities, including, game drives where you will observe lions resting on kopjes (rocky outcrops), sprinting leopards and cheetahs across the grasslands, Acacia tree dwelling leopards, as well as elephants alongside their calves. If your timing aligns just right (June - July), then you will be able to witness the… wait for it… the early herds of migration wildebeests and zebras which do indeed prepare for winter in the northern regions of the globe. Lunch comes highly recommended, as your guide will plan a delicious picnic, likely at a tranquil spot next to a waterhole with friendly hippos. Optional sun-downers with fine beverages can be arranged to savor while the sunset and the savannah illuminates the landscape in golden colors. Return to the mid-range lodge for a candlelit dinner. Throughout the evening, reflect on the day's events while listening to the soothing sounds of the wilderness around you.

Optimize your chances of wildlife viewing by spotting the last lion or elephant before boarding a charter flight (1.5-2 hours) to Zanzibar, landing at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport. A private transfer will take you to a mid-range beach resorts located at the eastern coast of the island. Here you will spend the night in a lovely room with private amenities and a balcony with a mesmerizing view of the turquoise Indian Ocean. During the afternoon, you can take a stroll along the white sand coastline, swim in the warm waters, or relax by sipping cocktails as the sun goes down. Your guide will amaze you with stories about the town and encourage you to try local exotic spices, cinnamon, and various cloves. Everything will be served with a romantic touch. A private vehicle will take you to the airport in Zanzibar after a final breakfast at the resort. A leisurely last swim at the beach walk at the resort can be done to pass time. From there, you can board a short flight back to Arusha (approximately 1.5 hours). You will arrive by midday, so a day room at a mid-range lodge is provided for light lunch or relaxation after the flight. After a relaxing session, you will be taking a transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport. This is the part of the trip where you will be departing with cherished memories of Tanzania’s wildlife wonders and famed beaches of Zanzibar, a perfect start to your married life.
