Itinerary
Start your Ngorongoro Crater Day Trip with a 5:30 AM private pickup from your Arusha hotel or Kilimanjaro International Airport. It is around 3 hours from the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in a 4x4 vehicle with a pop-up roof for wildlife viewing. After a 180 km drive through Tanzania’s Northern Circuit, you reach the Ngorongoro Crater entrance gate (2,200 meters/7,218 feet) by 8:30 AM. You have a short orientation with your guide, who will be with you for the day and is certified, going through the itinerary of the day while highlighting the crater floor game drive and the Maasai village visit. You descend to the crater floor at 9 AM for a private game drive, which will last until 2 PM.
